Are there situations surrounding the current pandemic that are causing you anxiety or fear?
Almost everyone can relate to the tensions of finances, our health and having our social lives turned upside down. But if you find that fear has found a rooted home in your every waking hour, it may be time to explore meditation for well-being.
What Is Meditation?
If meditation can make you a more well-balanced person with superpowers, why isn’t everyone doing it?
The truth is, many of us give up on meditation because it seems impossible to quiet our thoughts.
As hard as this may sound, drop all frustrations, uncertainties and all doing. This time can be an opportunity for self-healing and greater mindfulness.
Watching is meditation. What you watch is irrelevant. You can watch the trees, you can watch the river, you can watch the clouds or you can watch children playing around. What you watch is not the point.
The true spirit of meditation is to learn how to witness. To become aware and listen.
Withdraw your awareness from everywhere and just let it rest within yourself, and you will have arrived home. As you become aware, a miracle starts happening; many things that you used to do before simply disappear; your body becomes more relaxed and attuned.
Meditation is something you should enjoy and look forward to — not stress about.
Why Should I Meditate?
Meditation is a way to press stop on the treadmill of life. Not only does it allow you to tap into inner peace and tranquility, but it also is an effective tool to use your imagination to create a different point of view.
If you’re battling deep rooted emotions, then put yourself in the imaginary position of someone who has overcome what you’re going through. Really use that imagination. Nothing can go wrong in the reality that you’ve created unless you want it to. So feel free to dream up a clever way to transform that pain into triumph.
The whole point of taking a different point of view and using your imagination is to get you to transform your mind. In doing so, you allow space for forgiveness.
Perhaps before the pandemic you felt stuck at your job. Meditation can be a wonderful time to go within and truly listen to your heart.
Let your imagination and mediation join forces to spark your creativity by exploring all the dreams you allowed yourself to believe were impossible.
While you’re meditating, focus on what you want to see in your life. Imagine yourself taking the necessary actions to move closer to those goals. Now that you have the time, this will give you the confidence to actually go out there and create life on your terms.
